Disaster Recovery Center

The State of Nebraska and FEMA will open a Disaster Recovery Center in Platte County.

The center in Platte County will be located at the Eagles Club, 3205 12th St. in Columbus starting Monday May 6th to Friday May 10th. Hours will be 9 am to 6 pm.

At the centers, recovery specialists from FEMA and the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) will provide information on available services, explain assistance programs and help survivors complete or check the status of their applications. They can provide referrals and help with appeals. Centers are equipped with captioned phones, video remote interpreting and assistive listening devices.

Nebraska homeowners, renters and business owners in Platte County may apply for assistance for uninsured and under-insured damage and losses resulting from severe winter storm, straight-line winds and flooding.

The Disaster Recovery center is open to residents of other counties affected by the disaster as well.
